Why It’s Not For Everyone

November 16, 2008 at 2:52 pm (mindset marketing) (, , , , , , , , )

So, if working hard makes you money…

Why isn’t everyone rich?

I know many people who work very hard all the time.

Why aren’t they millionaires?

Could it be because they are working hard for the wrong thing?

Now, I am not saying don’t work hard at what you do. We know that people who work hard on their jobs are sometimes the ones that get paid more, or get what they want. In a perfect world, that would happen for everyone.

However, you have to work just as hard at doing you as you do at your job.

Why is that?

Because most people are too lazy to change themselves, therefore, they don’t go beyond where they already are.

Most people are afraid to be themselves. I know I used to be.

I would do whatever it would take to just fit in.

I spent a lot of time by myself in high school, and beyond.

The difference between then, and now, is that I am no longer afraid to be by myself or be myself.

This is why it’s not for everyone.

Not everyone wants to work hard.

Not everyone wants to change themselves for the better.

Not everyone wants to put in the work it takes to change themselves.

Not everyone wants to go against the current.

I didn’t at first, either…but I realized that in order to live up to the image I had of myself in my head, I had to do things that were outside of my comfort zone.

Only when I did that did I get results.

Actually, I am glad it’s not for everyone.

I have to have someone to talk to in order to share it!

What Do You Do To Others?

November 14, 2008 at 11:21 am (mindset marketing) (, , , , , , , , )

As I sit here for another day and meditate on the changes in my thinking, I am reminded of other Joe Schroeder quotes (he calls them “Schroederisms”).

What you do to others God does to you.

God can only do for you what he can do through you.

When my friend rejected one of Joe’s booklets because it was “unchristian”, I flipped that around a little.

When you say no to something, you give others permission to say no to you.

So, even though I love her dearly, what do you think I am going to tell her when I reach my goal of making several thousand a month and she comes to me wanting in? (I know this because she has done this before. She is definitely a follower, not a leader.)

Didn’t she just give me permission to tell her no, and disqualify her from joining me?

I finally realized what Joe means when he says to become a “yes” person.

When you learn to consistently say yes, because we are taught to say no for whatever reason (you can’t do that, it’s a scam, etc.), then you allow God to work with you because you show him you are willing to accept whatever guidance he may throw your way.

Boy, am I glad I said yes to Joe Schroeder!

And, as my life rearranges itself, as I stay focused, positive, and truthful to myself, I know that my opportunities and self-awareness will expand. Then, I will share this with others.

Because I want to make sure that when God looks at me and does to me what I do to others…

It is nothing but good.

What Do You Permit?

November 13, 2008 at 3:06 am (mindset marketing) (, , , , , , , , , )

I am writing this today because, I realize that not everyone sees the vision I have.

And those who may need it the most, don’t see it.

As a matter of fact, it is because they need it the most that they can’t see it.

You can’t complain about that which you permit. One of my favorite Joe Schroeder quotes.

This used to be me. Always wondering why things weren’t working, until I realized that it was because of myself that it wasn’t.

When i changed me, and started to do me, things started falling into place. (Read “Do You” by Russell Simmons.)

I had a friend of mine tell me today that what I was saying was un-Christian.

Before, I would have taken offense.

Now I just shake my head and feel sorry for her.

Because the most expensive thing in the world is a closed mind.

What I told her was that what I have to say is not for everyone. It would not be as special as it is if it was.

I told her I loved her anyway.

I told her that it could not possibly be un-Christian to promote ideals like loving others, thinking and staying positive, and sowing increase into other people.

Isn’t that what Jesus did?

Then I told her that I did not have to explain myself to her or anyone else.

Another of my favorite Joe quotes is, if you have to explain it, you don’t own it.

I live my life in such a way that I don’t have to explain it.

Only narrow minded people ask for an explanation.

Only narrow minded people ask how much you make.

Only narrow minded people ask if it will make them rich.

When you sell a product, someone can give it back.

When you sell someone back to themselves to the point that they become ten feet tall and bullet proof, they can’t ever return that.

When you change someone’s life, they will remember you.

Don’t you want to be remembered? How do you want to be remembered?

So…what do you permit?

Are You A Leader?

November 11, 2008 at 4:11 am (mindset marketing) (, , , , , , , , )

I apologize for not writing for a while, but I have been reading all of Joe Schroeder’s writings. He has so many, it’s a little time consuming!

I was on a call today with Joe. He asked the question, “Are you a leader, and if you are, how do you know?”

My response was, “Because when I silently change the way I do something, the people around me start doing the same thing.”

He said, “A goal is a dream unless there are 2 or 3 people that agree with you.”

Isn’t that the most challenging part of working online?

How many times have you tried to convince people that you have the best product, the greatest program, the best compensation plan?

Have you figured out yet that it doesn’t matter?

They are not going to join the program, they are going to join you…every single time.

Why do you think we are told to get to our “warm” market?

Because those are the people that most likely trust us.

Do you really want to ruin that trust because you don’t know what you are doing?

I have found out in the last few months that I get far better results by living my life the way I believe, and practicing what I preach.

People now come up to me and ask, “Why are you the way you are?”

And I proceed to tell them.

I learned how to use my mind to change the things around me.

I used my mind to learn not to settle for less.

I feel sorry for the people I work with.

They are stuck because their mindset is only as big as the workplace. And you can’t get that which you cannot see.

My mind is far bigger than that. What I see in my head is way bigger than a job.

I can see it as clearly as I can see the computer screen in front of me.

Now, it is big enough that others around me see it too. Now, they want to change.

When you lead by example,

And people like what you have to say,

And they willingly follow you,

That…is when you know you are a leader.

He’s Done It Again

October 10, 2008 at 9:33 am (mindset marketing) (, , , , , , , , , , )

This is why I love working with Joe Schroeder-it is never boring!

So this is what happened to me since last post.

Everything happens for a reason, right?

I get a phone call from Joe last week. He gives me a great deal on one of his products, and access to his seminar in New Jersey in December.

I said, sure, no problem, I wanted to do that anyway.

Then, on a call he did Wednesday night, I found out why.

He has released a new system (Lazy Riches), rearranged the content, and increased the commissions.

Anyone who already owned a larger part of the system was grandfathered in.

I realized that the reason Joe called me was to make sure that: (1) I was serious; (2) I was set up to receive.

I did both.

As he put it, with the way the economy is, there are 32 million people affected by the stock market.

If you get 100 of them, you are set.

The best part of the system is, you get to give away stuff for free. I love that!

So, I am patiently waiting for my “Mega-Mind” and my booklets, and I am excited about meeting Joe in person in December!

I changed my life for $17.95.

Can you?

What Are You Building Your House With?

October 4, 2008 at 1:49 pm (mindset marketing) (, , , , , , , , , , , )

I was on a Joe Schroeder call last night for 2 hours.

That’s okay. That time is never wasted.

As I was digesting what I heard last night, and got up this morning and sorted through all my opportunity emails from others, I had another revelation.

Here it is: If you are trying to build a business on a company, you are building it on a house of cards, and you are doomed to fail.

It doesn’t matter how much money you make-you rely on them for your checks. What happens if something happens to that company? Does your entire lifestyle go down the drain?

It shouldn’t!

Example: I was looking through a networking site this morning and came across a blog by someone who was absolutely disgusted with their business, so they were getting out.

That is like having all your stock in Enron, or AIG.

There is a solution.

Brand yourself, and you build yourself a house of bricks-one that won’t move with the troubled times.

The people that know this, are laughing all the way to the bank as everyone else screams “Recession!”

People will always look for something.

How many searches are done for home businesses everyday on Google? Try it and see.

When they find you, and you see how hopeless they really are, get them to stick by you by offering them hope-not another business opportunity. Most likely, they already have plenty of those.

Offer them the opportunity to build their self-confidence to the point where they can validate themselves and become a leader.

If you do that, they will always follow you.

Here is the catch-you have to learn how to become a leader yourself.

And, if you build on your own name and reputation, don’t be a company whore.

Show people you are a rock-or a house of bricks.

They will run to you for shelter-and they will forever be grateful to you for changing their life.

Peace, blessings, and prosperity!

What Do You Do?

October 2, 2008 at 10:17 am (mindset marketing) (, , , , , , , , , )

Okay, have I told you how much I love listening to Joe Schroeder? :)

It’s because I always hear something from him that I never thought about before. It gets my brain moving. Anything that does that, and makes you learn more, is a good thing.

So, this time I figured out-I am not marketing enough.

On a call, someone asked Joe, “What do you do to advertise?”

Joe’s response? “What don’t I do?”

Typical Joe!

But he’s right.

One of the reasons he is who he is remains because he did not rely just on the internet to advertise for him.

Actually, I pointed out to a friend that most of what you find on the internet today is not from him personally.

When I order a product from him, he always throws in extra stuff-CD’s, booklets, etc.

Joe said he still goes into bookstores and places business cards in self-help books.

He puts out street signs.

He places classified ads in newspapers and magazines.

And he does what most of us wish-he gets hundreds of leads a day.

Do you notice what he didn’t do?

He doesn’t call them!

He doesn’t have to.

And, notice his leads are all fresh leads-who don’t know a thing about him.

They came into his marketing funnel because he said something that got them thinking.

Is that what you do?

How many leads do you get a day?

Better yet, are they yours, or your company’s?

Who gets to keep the leads if you decide to leave your company? The company?

If you are not creating your own leads, you are leaving money on the table.

Another of Joe’s sayings is, you should not have to pick up the phone to call anyone.

If you do, something is wrong.

Think about it.

Because the most expensive thing in the world is a closed mind.

Peace, blessings, and prosperity!

How To Get Results

October 1, 2008 at 9:50 am (mindset marketing) (, , , , , , , , , , )

So how do you get from here to there?

How do you get from where you are to what you want to be?

If you are not where you want to be, your thoughts and your goals are not the same.

What you argue for, you get to keep.

What you think about, comes about.

Whatever you consciously think about will eventually manifest itself around you.

The 2 things that turn desire into action are:

1. Means

2. Opportunity

Thought=belief=action-=results.

Think about this-all millionaires make themselves. Even if someone was born into money, if they are not thinking a millionaire’s thoughts (or if they were not trained as a child to think like a rich person), they will eventually lose what they already have.

Doesn’t this explain why so many lottery winners lose everything?

Those around you see you as you see yourself.

If you see yourself as great, so will everyone else.

A friend of mine had a talk about this the other day. She is a great speaker, gets lots of people constantly around her.

But, what she said to me was, “I don’t feel like I am the great person everyone says I am.”

My response to her was, “That is the problem. Start owning your greatness, and so will everyone else.”

How about the next day, she was on a conference call with her mentor.

He told her the exact same thing.

No coincidences.

And when you have the power to share your thoughts with others so that they understand, you have the ability to help others realize their power.

This is how you get results!

I believe in YOU!

Power We All Have

September 30, 2008 at 8:15 am (mindset marketing) (, , , , , , , , , , )

I was listening to some of Joe Schroeder’s old calls the other day, and on one series of calls, he did some studies on the book “Power of the Subconscious Mind” by Joseph Murphy.

I picked up the book and decided to read it. Boy, did a lot of things start making sense!

Have you ever wondered why a negative person eventually gets really sick, either mentally, physically, or spiritually?

I had an idea that I knew, but I finally found it put into words.

Basically, when you harbor negative thoughts about anything, it comes out in some form in your life.

Let me give you an example. I have had several people in my life that I originally called friends that I parted ways with. Because I am usually forgiving, eventually we became friends again.

Here is the interesting part-those people usually ended up getting very ill, in some way.

The way it is put in the book is: “If your thoughts are harmonious, peaceful, and constructive, your subconscious mind will respond by creating harmony, peace, and constructive conditions.”

Therefore, if your thoughts are negative, you produce disharmony, discord, and chaos. And since you manifest outside what you are inside, your body takes the brunt of the attack. Illness then takes over.

Another thing I realized is-another quote from the book: “Your subconscious mind does not have the ability to dispute what it is told. If you give it wrong information, it will accept it as true. It will then work to make that information correct. It will bring your suggestions, even those that were false, to pass as conditions, experiences, and events.”

I always wondered why some people could look at a situation and swear something else happened even when several other witnesses said otherwise.

It is simply because, they saw the situation so much one way that it manifested itself in their own mind. Remember, perception is reality.

And, here was my “eureka” moment: if we can manifest a negative situation, why can’t we manifest a positive one? It stands to reason that we have the ability to create our own surroundings, and therefore, our own success or failure.

Here’s a really simple task: Instead of watching the news and moaning over the economy, why don’t we use the power of our mind to create our own world? We have that ability; it is our choice to use it or not.

I choose to use my power for good, not for bad.

I choose to use my power to help others.

I choose to use my power to help myself.

I choose to create order, not chaos.

My chaos free zone

You can too!

I believe in YOU!

Doing Your Due Diligence When Selecting A Business

September 25, 2008 at 7:49 pm (mindset marketing) (, , , , , , , )

I just got off a Million Mind March call with Ron Corben. Love him, just a good Southern gentleman!

Anyway, he was adding to the call he did last week about researching when you are looking for a business. Here are some of the things that he suggested.

1. Low entry, high value-the program should cost very little to get into, but have a high return-we will get into this more in a bit.

2. Community/Master mind group-in order to have the best results, you should be with a group of people who have your same goals and best interests at heart. You will grow and thrive in this type of environment. The group should have a positive feel, and there should be no negativity-that is contraindicated for your success.

3. Control your money-be able to get paid yourself; which leads to:

4. Make commissions up front-you should not have to wait for a processor to decide what your commission is before you make money.

5. Add to what you are already doing-your regular job, your other online business. The numbers in MLM make it virtually impossible for you to make the money you want with only one business-add multiple income streams to increase your cash flow-also, see my earlier blog on why I declared war on most MLM, it was for this reason. In order to do $5000 a month, you have to have a $500K a year business-takes a while to do. If you have multiple streams, it won’t take as long.

6. Be able to bring it to the average person-advertise online and offline, and you will be able to build a bigger business. Also, the average person who knows nothing about the computer has to be able to do it, i.e. business cards, newspaper and magazine classifieds, street signs.

7. Nobody gets hurt-what you give away, you get to keep-you should be able to have access to FREE products that will help you build your business.

That was all he had time for today, but great information! Glad I was home today!

I believe that anyone who does things the right way can be successful, that includes me, that includes you!

Peace, blessings, and prosperity!
